A dog (or perhaps a lamb?) carved so that it’s legs hug your finger and wrap around and meet each other at the back.
Dogs symbolise loyalty and protection and they have been represented through time by numerous cultures both ancient and contemporary.
This piece is very tactile, I drew the design on my desk where it sat for months before I carved it in wax. I imagined it like an ancient stone carving emerging from a block of stone and carved it in this way starting with a block and finding the form.
Numbered Edition of 14 (not all cast at once). Each ring is engraved inside with an edition number.
The photos show the size of the ring in uk size O.5.
